Chris Koopmans

Chris is the Owner of and Senior Mediator at Georgia Mountain Mediation. Chris is particularly skilled in helping individuals and families navigate challenging transitions. She works closely with each client to develop tailored, practical agreements that reflect their specific circumstances, priorities, and long-term interests. Her approach emphasizes balance, discretion, and durable outcomes, stability and peace of mind.

Georgia Mountain Mediation reflects Chris’s commitment to providing professional, high-quality mediation services. She completed comprehensive training in Civil, Domestic, and Probate Mediation through Kennesaw State University in Georgia, equipping her with the advanced skills necessary to facilitate effective resolution.

Her academic background further enriches her practice. Chris holds a degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, along with graduate certificates from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, and a certificate in Hospitality and Management from the Florida Atlantic University College of Business.

Having lived and worked internationally, Chris brings a broad, culturally informed perspective to her work. She is deeply committed to her role as Mediator, offering clients a calm, professional environment in which meaningful resolution can be achieved.
